Looking for a simple but personal DIY craft? Create a picture frame for Dad using just craft sticks and glue. Once you have the frame together, decorate it using your favorite accessories, glitter, paint, buttons, the possibilities are endless. This simple yet heartfelt craft is perfect for children and adults alike, offering a hands-on way to show your appreciation and love for Dad. The final product will be a beautiful, handmade picture frame that can hold a cherished photo or a special message.

Supplies Used

• 4 Craft Sticks
• White Glue
• Acrylic Paint
• Paint Brushes

Optional

• Pom-Poms
• Buttons
• Glitter
• Permanent Markers

Instructions:

Use a table cloth, art tray, or paper plate for this project for less mess cleanup!

Step 1: Lay out two craft sticks.

Steps 2: Using the white glue, add two more craft sticks to form the frame. Tip: You can customize the shape, for example, one will look like a hashtag shape. The other looks like a square. 

Step 3: Let the glue dry.

Step 4: Paint the frame using your favorite color paint(s). We used our Color Splash!® Metallic Acrylic Paint in the color blue. You can also use Tempera Paint.

Step 5: Add additional decorations to enhance the frame’s design! We chose to use some buttons and pom-poms, and draw a few hearts with marker.
