April Fitness Challenge Calendar 2026

Our April 2026 Fitness Challenge Calendar is here!

Use this printable calendar as a resource to share with your students to keep them active during the Spring season! Encourage them to participate in the challenge at home too, and even include their family. You can use the Fitness Challenge outdoors as a fun way to get kids moving and as a warm up.

We teamed up with the Alliance For A Healthier Generation to create this fitness calendar for the month of April 2026. Here is the link to the download, which is a total of 3 pages with visuals.

April 2026 Printable Fitness Calendar

Students are challenged each day to participate in the activities listed on the calendar. For April, kids (and parents!) can practice some basic fitness exercises, plus some baseball themed activities in honor of baseball season in April.

Each week, the number of repetitions for each fitness exercise increases. Please keep in mind the number of repetitions is meant as a guide, and can be adapted as needed based on age group and skill level.

The calendar includes a task card for each challenge, so you can show your students images of the correct way to do the activities.

Opening Day

On Wednesdays, students will refer to the Baseball Task Card to celebrate the start of baseball season in April. (Opening day is March 30th). Each Wednesday of the month, students will do the 5 activities listed on the card. These include practicing swinging a bat, pitching with both their dominant and non-dominant hand, throwing, and catching.

View our selection of Baseball items here.

If you are teaching in person, you can use the task card to create stations – print each baseball activity on a sheet of paper and tape it to a cone. Set up 5 cones for each activity. Students will rotate at the sound the “Charge” theme song.

If your students do not have basballs or bats at home, you can still have them act out the activities using their imagination. You can even suggest some items they can use instead to practive swinging at an object, like a balloon and a pool noodle.

Task Sheet

Download our printable Fitness Challenge Task Sheet for your participants to fill out each day. They will record what exercises they did and put a check mark in the completed box if they completed the number of reps on the calendar. There is also a self-assessment section which is great for social emotional learning. Kids will circle the emoji that best describes how they felt after doing the exercises. The notes section is a place where they can jot down anything related to the activities, and also a great place to record their hobbies they did each Saturday this month.

Hi again! Shall we repeat in May the same sequence as we had in April? We are missing the May “Fitness Challenge” table… I didn’t want to be pushy, but we are on May 9th already and I can not find the table for May… can you help me?

  3. Tara

    Ok, thank you.

  7. Luciana (mother of Ian and Henrique)

Dear Teacher, the kids are doing the activities (even weekends). However, recording is hard on parents, because my husband and I need to work.

    1. S&S Worldwide

Hi Luciana, thank you for your comment. Yes we definitely understand it is a busy time. You can choose not to use the sheet to record the activities. It can be a way for kids to keep track of their own activities if they are able, and express how they felt after each exercise. But just keeping active and following the fitness challenge is a great thing. Glad you are finding the calendars useful. Hope your family is staying safe!

  8. Shanda Sturtevant

The download includes a Baseball task card, not a basketball one.

    1. S&S Worldwide

Hi Shanda, sorry for the delay as we have had limited staff during this time. The calendar was supposed to say Baseball every Wednesday, so it looks like it was a typo just in the calendar and the document was supposed to just include that Baseball Task Card. Thank you for catching that. We just published May 2020 https://www.ssww.com/blog/may-printable-fitness-challenge-calendar/ and will be posting June soon.

  9. Erin Baker

I see the baseball task card on page 3 of the download but there isn’t a basketball task card in the download. Help!

    1. S&S Worldwide

Hi Erin, sorry for the delay as we have had limited staff during this time. The calendar was supposed to say Baseball every Wednesday, it was a typo in the calendar portion. Page 3 was only supposed to include that Baseball Task Card. I hope you were still able to use the resource last month! We just published May 2020 https://www.ssww.com/blog/may-printable-fitness-challenge-calendar/ and will be posting June soon.

  15. mary

This looks great. May I ask – what is a ‘wall sit?’ Thanks in advance

    1. S&S Worldwide

Hi Mary! If you download the calendar from the blog (here is the link: http://ssww-blog.s3.amazonaws.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/Fitness-Calendar-April-2018.pdf) there are some fitness task cards that show the exercises and have a little description too. A Wall Sit is where you lean with your back against the wall and slide down until your legs are no less than 90 degree angles and then hold that position. Thanks!
