What children see as fun and engaging adventures are carefully designed experiences that help them build confidence, understand emotions, develop empathy, and navigate the world around them.
Behind Poppi’s Planet is Erin Shea, a former educator, performer, and Creative Director whose work has impacted children in schools, hospitals, libraries, and communities nationwide.
Drawing on years of experience teaching theater and dance, Erin witnessed firsthand how creativity, movement, storytelling, and play could help children better understand themselves and connect with others. Inspired by the core principles of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), she created Poppi’s Planet to help children identify emotions, gain self-awareness, and discover joy through movement, mindfulness, storytelling, and imaginative play.
What began as an educator’s vision has grown into a nationally recognized children’s brand that continues to reach children and families across the country while staying true to its original mission: helping children feel seen, supported, and empowered.
From a Beloved Character to a Classroom Solution
As Poppi’s Planet continued to grow, Erin recognized an opportunity to bring the same engaging experiences children loved into classrooms, afterschool programs, libraries, and other learning environments.
Educators everywhere were facing similar challenges with:

The result is the Poppi’s Planet Create, Feel, Think Kit, a ready-to-use program designed to help educators support children’s social, emotional, physical, and creative development through movement, storytelling, mindfulness, and hands-on activities.

Create
Children learn through imagination, storytelling, movement, and creative expression. Activities encourage curiosity, participation, confidence, and self-expression while helping children explore new ideas in ways that feel playful and engaging.
