Patricia from Silver Lane SBHC shares with us an awesome active walking program she has matched with Geography for her Elementary students using this USA Floor Puzzle Map.

“I am conducting a 15 minute walking program every morning for elementary school students. Each kid gets a bead for each mile he or she walks. The map-puzzle will be used to track the collective distance as a group, “how far have we walked.” We are going to aim for Disney with stops in New York, Philly, Baltimore, DC… As we pass through each state, I will put up the next puzzle piece on our bulletin board. If we get to Disney before the end of the school year we will head to the next place the kids find interesting. I picked your puzzle map because it does not have Alaska or Hawaii in the Gulf of Mexico or both off Baja.”
