Instructions
Step 1) First, choose the birdhouse design that you would like to decorate. There are 3 to choose from.

Step 2) Once you’ve made your selection, take a moment to sand down all the surfaces with the included sandpaper until they’re smooth to the touch.

Step 3) Decide on your colors and which paint you’d like to use. Plan which areas of the birdhouse you’d like to stain with watercolor paint, and which will have a solid finish with the acrylic paint.
Tip: To create more colors, acrylic paints can be mixed in a small cup or a waterproof surface. We used blue and red to make purple. Watercolor paints can be mixed on the brush or on a waterproof surface.
Step 4) Once you have your colors picked out, start painting!

Tip: Start with watercolor paint, then add the acrylic paints.
Step 5) Once your birdhouse is dry, you can go back and add some finishing details – try designs like polka dots, or swirls. You can even add glitter or glue items to the birdhouse, like our mosaic tiles!

Tip: Use a toothpick or the tip of a brush handle to create thin lines with the paint.
