Grounded in research and developed with educators, Bop! Magazine empowers families with accessible, stress-free Kindergarten readiness resources that children love. BOP! supplements high-quality books and audio recordings with conversation prompts, math activities, writing exercises, matching games and other resources that lead families to engage in effective learning habits – without the need for additional training or instruction. Because effective early education practices are designed into the content versus taught explicitly and separately, parents and other caregivers can help children build critical skills naturally, creating positive associations through sharing quality time together without stress or pressure to follow guidelines or instructions.
BOP! provides families with a monthly collection of books and resources that foster emergent literacy and math skills, motivation and confidence. Families receive high-engagement picture books and nonfiction texts plus activities for literacy, language, math, writing and critical thinking. Both narrative and informational texts are supported by read-along audio for a multi-sensory experience that increases engagement and ensures the books are accessible to all children, whatever their parents' reading ability or native language.
Choose from 6-month, 9-month or 12-month subscriptions. Each month families receive resources that develop foundational skills essential for success.
Literacy: Two high-engagement books—one narrative text and one informational text—from well-loved authors and illustrators plus leading educational publishers, together with activities that build phonemic awareness.
Math: Puzzles, pictures, and questions that lead children to explore and develop an understanding of mathematical concepts of quantity, size, shape, pattern, and numerical and spatial relationships.
Oral Language: A variety of questions to prompt conversation, imagination-based storytelling, and children’s descriptions of their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Writing: Space and prompts for age-appropriate writing activities including letter and shape tracing along with drawing and dictation of stories and ideas to an adult “scribe.”
Supplemental Read-Along Audio and Music: Supplemental audio – accessible from any cell phone or tablet – delivers read-along narrations of the books plus music to build pre-reading skills via rhyming and repetition, provide opportunities for dancing and other physical activity, and increase engagement, entertainment and fun.
BOP! delivers a rich collection of resources that promotes essential foundational skills and presents them using a magazine format that incorporates music and humor to make learning fun and keep children motivated and engaged. Feedback from parents includes comments such as:
