The Hummingbird™ Robotics Kit allows students to create and program robots built from electronic components and craft materials. The Hummingbird is made by a company devoted to cultivating creativity and computational thinking by providing flexible and inspiring products that engage students and teachers in programming and robotics. The Hummingbird Robotics Kit is a spin-off product of Carnegie Mellon's CREATE lab and is designed to enable engineering and robotics activities for ages 13 and up (8 with adult supervision) that involve the making of robots, kinetic sculptures, and animatronics built out of a combination of kit parts and crafting materials. This kit contains all the electronics you need for a class and curriculum, glossary, and other helpful tools and materials! Just add 16-24 students and craft materials and watch the robots fly! Links to free software, tutorials, and recipes are all available after purchase.
