A steel plate undergirds the deluxe handlebar to boost durability and strength. Other deluxe features include soft waffle handgrips to improve maneuverability, super-fast premium wheel bearings and a sporty red seat. Non-marring polyurethane wheels and strategically placed bumpers prevent contact between handlebars and riding surfaces, allowing the Roller Racer to be enjoyed indoors and out on hardwood floors, tile, linoleum, asphalt and concrete. Originally designed as an amusement park ride, the Deluxe Model is now offered for use in active group settings such as schools for PE and adapted classes, park recreation programs and child care centers. A Roller Racer® Activity Guide is included in each box describing ideas to feature the Deluxe Model in group games, relay races and obstacle courses.
