Grant Writing for Teachers – Why You Should Apply Why would you want to be a grant writer for a school? It's a lot of work to pull together a grant application. And it's even more work if you're fortunate enough to receive the grant. You have to keep records, prove that you’ve spent the money properly, and record the results of your program, even if those results are not positive. The competitive funding initiative provides money to help schools jump-start and sustain healthy nutrition and physical activity improvements. Funding opportunities are available to any qualified K-12 school enrolled in Fuel Up to Play 60. Sponsored by the National Dairy Council, state and regional Dairy Councils and other supporting organizations, the competitive, nationwide funding program provides seed money - up to $4,000 per year per school – to help your school implement one Healthy Eating Play and one Physical Activity Play from the 2016-17 edition of the Fuel Up to Play 60 Playbook. |

The Teacher as Researcher Educational Grant
from International Literacy Association . The Teacher as Researcher Grant supports classroom teachers in their inquiries about literacy and instruction. The ILA Teacher as Researcher Grant study may be carried out using any research method or approach as long as the focus is on reading/writing or literacy. Activities such as developing new programs or instructional materials are not eligible for funding unless these activities are necessary for conducting the research. |
