One of the many programs run by the Friendship Circle is FC Fitness, an engaging and athletic program that helps keep participants active and social during the long winter months.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s FC Fitness was especially exciting with all the new equipment donated from S&amp;S Worldwide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/search\/index.php?q=reversible+pinnies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pinnies<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectrum-red-white-and-blue-basketball-W11639\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Training basketballs<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectrum-rubber-basketball-official-W11637\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rubber basketbals<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectrum-agility-rings-W8447\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Flat Hoops<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/robic-sc-t-timer-W6975\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Countdown timer<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/orange-spectrum-cones-W8777\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cones<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectrum-vinyl-square-beanbags-W9765G\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Beanbags<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectrum-person-scooter-W9450\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scooters<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectrum-poly-markers-circles-W8869\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Poly Spots<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FC Fitness is structured as four rotating stations,\u00a0and all participants are placed in a team and given a corresponding color pinnie. Each team then made their way through all the exciting centers, practicing and developing different skills at each one.<\/p>\n<p>Station\u00a01: At the first center, they practiced passing balls to each other. Participants learned the overhead pass, the chest pass and how to bounce pass, using a flat hoop as a guide of where to bounce the ball.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/friendship-circle-fitness-program1.png\" alt=\"friendship circle fitness\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Station\u00a02: The second station was for practicing dribbling. Participants were timed<b> <\/b>on their dribbling and challenged to dribble through rows of\u00a0cones\u00a0without touching any of them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7471\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/friendship-circle-fitness1.png\" alt=\"friendship circle fitness program\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Station 3: This station involved a lot work and sweat! There were a range of exercises to choose from, from pushups to lunges to jumping jacks depending on the card being picked from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/jumbo-playing-cards-W10560\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">jumbo card deck<\/a>\u00a0which also determined how many of each exercise would be done by the group.<\/p>\n<p>Station 4: The last stations was for practicing shooting in the traditional way, with basketballs and hoops,\u00a0as well as in an innovative and fun way, using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/escalade-harvard-deluxe-basketball-shoot-out-W9502\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">atomic jumpball shootout<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7470\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/friendship-circle-basketball1.png\" alt=\"friendship circle basketball\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cool-Downs:\u00a0We also used the donated equipment for cool-downs, and had relay races involving various props, like the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">balance disc<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/jumbo-inflatable-bowling-set-17221\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">inflatable jumbo bowling set<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>FC fitness was quite a hit among all ages and abilities.
