We have found some great ideas from teachers on PE Central that incorporate the number 100 in their lesson. Some of these even have free downloads to save you time. You can plan\u00a0stations, fitness exercises, dribbling, and even stacking challenges and tailor them to this theme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grades K-2<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pecentral.org\/LessonIdeas\/ViewLesson.asp?ID=9063#.WIi6XVMrKUm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100th Day of School<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Students will practice their motor &amp; sports skills\u00a0by performing a variety of activities 100 times, such as jump rope and dribbling. Use the checklist provided in the lesson.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pecentral.org\/LessonIdeas\/ViewLesson.asp?ID=8298#.WIi8hVMrKUn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100 Days &#8211; Ball Skills<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Fill the gym with 100 different types of balls. Call out\u00a0a locomotor movement as the music begins, and students must move around without touching any ball.\u00a0Also incorporates the fun game Hungry Hungry Hippo!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Grades K-5<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pecentral.org\/LessonIdeas\/ViewLesson.asp?ID=12614#.WIi501MrKUl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100th Day Cup Stacking Activities<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Set up 6 cup stacking stations, each with a card showing the cup challenge they need to do with 100 cups. There are also several variations for this idea.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grades 3-5<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pecentral.org\/lessonideas\/ViewLesson.asp?ID=11133#.WIi5zlMrKUl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100th Day Moving Math<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Great for combining math skills and movement! Also includes assessment ideas and adaptations for students with disabilities.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pecentral.org\/lessonideas\/ViewLesson.asp?ID=12643#.WIi50VMrKUl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100th Day Activities<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; \u00a0Includes a list of fitness and sports related activities that involved the number 100. Some are indivudual and others require teamwork.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Any Grade Level<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pecentral.org\/LessonIdeas\/ViewLesson.asp?ID=10597#.WIi511MrKUl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100th Day of School<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Students will complete 10 repetitions of 10 different exercises, for a total of 100. Similar to the K-2 activity, which has each exercise done 100 times each.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>More PE Activities with the Number 100<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Grades 4-5<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pecentral.org\/LessonIdeas\/ViewLesson.asp?ID=736#.WIi6pFMrKUm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Catch 100<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; A great activity for practicing throwing and catching skills. Challenge students to reach 100 catches before the end of class &#8211; counting helps keeps them engaged and focused on a goal!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grades 6-8<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pecentral.org\/LessonIdeas\/ViewLesson.asp?ID=12585#.WIi6eVMrKUm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Race to 100 in Volleyball<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; If you are looking for a volleyball related activity for the 100th Day of School, you can use this activity which helps students practice bumping, spiking, setting, and serving while working as a team to get a score of 100.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Be sure to congratulate students for completing their activities on the 100th Day of School.
