This is a fun and colorful activity for kids, and also a great activity for children to help create. The scooping and pouring is fun and encourages development of fine motor skills.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>White Rice\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/color-splash-neon-acrylic-paint-8-oz-PT3269\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fluorescent Paint<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/ziploc-gallon-size-bags-pack-BR232\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baggies<\/a><\/strong> (One for each color)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/search\/index.php?q=inflatable+sensory+tray\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Sensory Tray<\/strong><\/a> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/furniture\/storage\/storage-containers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Container<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> <br \/>Scoop out white rice into a baggie, using one baggie for each color you want to create. Of course, we had to create Neon Rainbow colors for our sensory bin. I don\u2019t usually measure, but you can have them measure out two cups of rice for each color.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31094\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rice-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rice-3.png 800w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rice-3-300x154.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rice-3-220x113.png 220w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rice-3-768x395.png 768w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rice-3-500x257.png 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong><br \/>Pour in a few drops of paint (you can always add more paint but you don\u2019t need a lot). It won\u2019t take very long.
