It is a great craft for Saint Patrick&#8217;s Day, but can also be used as a spring craft. Brighten up any room even when the sun isn&#8217;t out!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Gather Materials:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/arts-and-crafts-supplies\/basic-craft-supplies\/craft-tools\/scissors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Scissors<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/elmers-washable-school-glue-GL626\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Elmer&#8217;s Glue<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/cotton-balls-AC1007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cotton balls<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/sunworks-groundwood-construction-paper-color-asst-PE1253\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Multicolored Construction Paper<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/transparent-tracing-paper-pad-PE100A\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tracing Paper<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/tissue-paper-asst-colors-PE1865\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Multicolored Tissue Paper<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2942 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Materials-Suncatcher-Craft-2-e14543499476591.jpg\" alt=\"rainbow suncatcher\" width=\"453\" height=\"441\" \/>Step 2<\/strong>: Cut tissue paper into 1 inch by 1 inch squares.\u00a0For a more traditional looking rainbow, as shown in the picture above, you will need approximately 50 squares cut from red, yellow, green, and blue.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2943\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Tissue-paper-squares-21.jpg\" alt=\"rainbow suncatcher saint patrick's day\" width=\"457\" height=\"425\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>: Cut out your pot, gold, and cloud. You can use a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dltk-kids.com\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.dltk-holidays.com\/patrick\/images\/bpot-small.gif\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pot of gold image<\/a> to trace so you can get the shape just right. Print the image, tape it to the brown construction paper, and cut along the lines for a perfect shape. Then, stretch one or two cotton balls (craft fluffs) to cover the cloud that you cut out. Glue the cotton balls\u00a0on the blue cloud. Glue the yellow gold on the top of the pot.\u00a0The pot of gold and blue cloud from the picture\u00a0below\u00a0are about 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2986\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cutting-out-shapes1.jpg\" alt=\"pot of gold suncatcher craft\" width=\"551\" height=\"383\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4<\/strong>: On one piece of tracing paper, apply\u00a0the glue into several big arches like a rainbow. Place\u00a0the tissue paper squares on the\u00a0glue. Once your rainbow is complete, wait for the glue to dry and then cut it out.
