Ed. At St. Ignatius School in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We have been working on our Striking with a Long Implement skills (S1.E25), starting with baseball skills for Grades 2-5. I wanted to play a game that involved all students throughout the entirety of the game, something regular baseball does not do for the most part. So, I saw a game known as <strong>Baseball Tag<\/strong> from a few other P.E. teachers and decided to give it a try.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equipment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/champro-heavy-duty-classic-batting-tee-W13033\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tees<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/sports-and-pe\/coach-and-instructor-resources\/flags-cones-and-spot-markers\/cones\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cones<\/a><\/strong> for hitting<\/li>\n<li>6-10<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/oversized-foam-bat-and-ball-set-W7196G\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong> foam baseball bats<\/strong><\/a> (depends on gym &amp; class size)<\/li>\n<li>6-10 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/gator-skin-5-dodgeball-junior-W11493\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">small dodgeballs<\/a><\/strong> (also depends on gym &amp; class size)<\/li>\n<li>6-10<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/sports-and-pe\/hoops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> hula hoops<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>6-10 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/sports-and-pe\/exercise-and-play-mats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mats<\/a> <\/strong>(just to separate the \u201cbatting cages\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Set-Up:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25174\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/baseball-tag-2.png\" alt=\"baseball tag 2\" width=\"428\" height=\"620\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/baseball-tag-2.png 428w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/baseball-tag-2-220x319.png 220w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/baseball-tag-2-207x300.png 207w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 428px) 100vw, 428px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Create 6 \u201cbatting cages\u201d using mats to separate each batting cage with a tee or cone to hit off of. Next, set up a hula hoop opposite each batting cage where the fielders will be waiting.
