These 4 Field Day activities were student favorites, and I hope you enjoy them at your school too!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>WATER BALLOON CATAPULTS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34009\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/field-day-launcher.png\" alt=\"field day launcher\" width=\"327\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/field-day-launcher.png 327w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/field-day-launcher-235x300.png 235w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/field-day-launcher-220x281.png 220w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 327px) 100vw, 327px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>DIY Board for launcher<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/water-balloon-launcher-W14661\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Water balloons + launcher<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/party-and-novelty\/party-supplies\/balloons\/water-balloons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Water balloons<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With 6 catapults, water balloons go in the bucket, students GENTLY place their foot on the end to shoot the balloon up in the air. Students can only have 2 water balloons, then they must move to another activity. Students can only take 2 steps with the ball, making short, quick passes down the court. If they pass the ball and their teammate doesn\u2019t catch it, it&#8217;s a turnover and the other team\u2019s ball from where it was dropped. They play for 2 minutes or unless a team scores, if a team scores, they STAY ON, and another team comes on. The team who did not score starts with the ball first on their end line. If no one scores, two new teams come on. Play for 1 minute, next 4 students go. This activity is a schoolf favorite. <em>NOTE: I do this for grades 2-5 only.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>SWIMMER RELAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34012\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Field-Day-relay.png\" alt=\"Field Day relay\" width=\"329\" height=\"407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Field-Day-relay.png 329w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Field-Day-relay-243x300.png 243w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Field-Day-relay-220x272.png 220w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 329px) 100vw, 329px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/youth-swim-goggles-and-ear-plugs-set-W15242\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goggles<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/scotch-brite-heavy-duty-scrub-sponge-W13055\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Sponge<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/3-3-4-gallon-clear-buckets-W14217\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Bucket<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/duck-pond-pool-SL9990\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inflatable Pool<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tube<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On \u201cGO\u201d one person at a time will put on the tube, goggles, and take the sponge to the pool to be filled with water. They will then race to the other side of the field, empty the water into the bucket, and race back to their team, take everything off and give it to the next person in line.
