Children are able to make and &#8220;light&#8221; their wreaths without the danger of being burned!<\/p>\n<p>Set aside a few minutes each day during Advent to \u201clight\u201d the candle(s) and worship. This will help everyone in the family to get ready for Jesus&#8217; birthday celebration!<\/p>\n<p>On the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day burn the first candle, read the Scripture references, sing a carol and pray. On the next Sunday, you will burn the first and second candle. Continue in this manner until the Sunday before Christmas when you will burn all four candles. On Christmas Day you burn the center &#8220;Christ Candle,&#8221; signifying that Jesus has come!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You Need:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4 Cardboard toilet paper rolls<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1 Cardboard paper towel roll (cut 1\/3 of it off)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/arts-and-crafts-supplies\/basic-craft-supplies\/glue-and-tape\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Glue<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/arts-and-crafts-supplies\/paper\/tissue-paper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Yellow tissue paper<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/arts-and-crafts-supplies\/paints-and-stains\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paint<\/a> (purple, pink, white, and green) (or colored <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/arts-and-crafts-supplies\/paper\/construction-paper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">construction pape<\/a>r)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong> Styrofoam disk<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Small pine branches (real or silk pics)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1) Paint 3 t.p. rolls purple and 1 pink (or cut and wrap colored construction paper around the<br \/>\nrolls).<\/p>\n<p>2) Paint the paper towel roll white, or wrap with white paper.<\/p>\n<p>3) Paint the Styrofoam disk green. Allow to dry<\/p>\n<p>4) Carefully push, while twisting the t.p. rolls into the disk.
