This is a simple and fun DIY paper craft for kids!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Age<\/strong>: 4+<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/con-tact-clear-covering-paper-18-x-3-yards-PE808\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Contact Paper<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectra-bleeding-art-tissue-painting-squares-PE2200\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Tissue Paper Squares<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/search\/pins\/?q=raindrop%20template&amp;rs=typed&amp;term_meta[]=raindrop%7Ctyped&amp;term_meta[]=template%7Ctyped\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Rain drop template<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/arts-and-crafts-supplies\/basic-craft-supplies\/craft-tools\/scissors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Scissors<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Set Up:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>First, cut the contact paper into 6&#215;8 inch pieces. Then, cut tissue paper into small squares, or use the pre-cut tissue paper squares<strong>.<\/strong> Have these ready for the activity!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Have the kids color their rain drop template and then cut it out.<\/li>\n<li>Cut out the center of your rain drop template (NOTE: younger kids will need assistance with this step).<\/li>\n<li>Put a piece of contact paper on one side of the rain drop cut out.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the sticky side of the contact paper with bits of tissue paper or streamers,\u00a0these are transparent enough to act as \u201cstained glass\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Place a second piece of contact paper on the other side of the rain drop (on top of the tissue paper) to seal your stained-glass rain drop!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Note:\u00a0We gave the kids old gift cards to use to spread out the air bubbles in the contact paper<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Optional:\u00a0Add a hole punch and a piece of ribbon at the top to hang your stain glass art!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18403\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rain-drop-art-craft.png\" alt=\"rain drop art craft\" width=\"699\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rain-drop-art-craft.png 699w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rain-drop-art-craft-220x168.png 220w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rain-drop-art-craft-300x229.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rain-drop-art-craft-393x300.png 393w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 699px) 100vw, 699px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>About the Author:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My name is Savannah Syke, my whole life I have loved making creative and colorful projects and spending time with children.
