I teach PreK-9th grade and over 200+ students. I&#8217;ve been teaching for 8 years. I am also the\u00a0High School Soccer Coach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current PE Units: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PreK-2 &#8211; Jump Rope<\/li>\n<li>3rd-6th: Team Sports (Wiffle Ball)<\/li>\n<li>JH\/HS: Team Sports (Ultimate Disc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-15533 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Disc-Golf1.jpg\" alt=\"featured pe teacher\" width=\"500\" height=\"570\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>PE Focus for 2018: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My focus for the year is to increase the number of minutes for students in their MVPA (Moderate to Vigorous Physical Activitiy) by 5 minutes. I set high expectations for students to reach those goals. We also do Class Dojo where students have to earn 100 points in clas to be entered for a prize drawing at Field Day. Students always reach that mark by April.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Favorite PE Unit<\/strong> :<\/p>\n<p>Pickleball has always been a favorite of mine ever since I learned about it in college. The students here were introduced to it my first year, and they LOVE it! They always look forward to it, and I love teaching it. We do a Sport Ed. Model where students get to select team names, introduction and show records of games played.
