I purchased five large plastic tubs, one for each grade level, K-4. I selected equipment where I had at least 5 items that I would not miss for class or did not use as often.<\/p>\n<p>These Take PE Home Tubs can be segmented by grade levels K-1, 2-3, and 4-5. Anyone could incorporate into their PE class and I hope this inspires other PE teachers to create their own.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7417\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/take-home-PE-tub-246x3001.jpg\" alt=\"family fitness take home PE\" width=\"350\" height=\"426\" \/>Items in \u201cTake PE Home\u201d Tub:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/furniture\/storage\/storage-containers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Storage Container<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/sports-pe-recreation\/balls\/soccer-balls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Soccer ball<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/sports-pe-recreation\/balls\/playground-balls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Playground ball<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/search\/index.php?q=tennis+balls+penn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tennis ball<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/search\/index.php?q=speed+stack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Speed stacks<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/sports-pe-recreation\/jump-ropes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jump ropes<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/sports-pe-recreation\/active-play\/toss-games\/flying-disc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Frisbee<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectrum-scoop-toss-W8888\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scoops<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/item\/spectrum-foam-lollipop-paddles-W10367\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Foam paddle<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I use an app to randomly select a student from each grade level who takes the tub home on Friday and returns in on following Thursday. If at the time their name is chosen they have positive ClassDojo points, I contact their parents prior to telling the student to be sure it would be a good week for the \u201cTake PE Home\u201d tub.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I also included a spiral notebook for the students to journal about their experience with the equipment. I have enjoyed reading the students\u2019 entries and viewing the pictures they drew telling about their family fun using the Take PE Home tubs. The tubs have been a big hit and have created a positive buzz around our campus. One of my students even nicknamed the tub the \u201cBucket of Fun\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7418\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssww.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/pe-tubs-for-fitness1.jpg\" alt=\"take home PE \" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The feedback from students and parents has been positive. As PE teachers, we not only strive to keep our students active in class, but to help students develop the desire for an active lifestyle at home.
