Nancy’s Awesome Creations
Nancy is so talented. We have featured her in our trends before and she has now created even more of these awesome DIY Custom Sports Keychains. These are so cool! Using paracord, our sports beads and key rings. We see volleyball, football and soccer below AND to top it off this amazing stethoscope necklace.
Want to learn how to make them? Here is our post with instructions.
Active Day of Vineland
Active Day of Vineland is creating beautiful and wearable art with our wooden bangles! Residents looks like they really enjoyed their creations! We know we loved seeing them!
Right at School
Mark from @rightatschool introduced us to a game called “Mini-Hockgolf” where afterschoolers used a random variety of S&S supplies to create their own game! Makerspace meets physical education in afterschool! We love it. Here the students combined our Spectrum Hockey sticks, frisbees, collapsible cones, golf balls and more!
Take Your Parent to PE Week!
Active Schools has kicked off their 2nd Annual Take Your Parent to PE Week! @JennieLGraves set up an activity with our ping pong balls that challenges students and their parents to catch the balls once their are thrown in front of a fan. See more parents enjoying PE on social media sites with the hashtag – #ParentsLovePE
CT Library MakerMeetUp
The students at Jack Jackter Intermediate School in the same town as S&S are really in for a treat with the new STEM and Makerspace Products @BarbaraJohnson, their media specialist, has purchased. We teamed up with Barbara in July for her MakerMeetUp with many of the products you see. Check out the fun everyone had here on Twitter.
I like the made up games idea. What isthe piece of equipment that looks like a blue toilet plunger? I have several onthe closet at my new school, but don’t know what to do with them.
Hi Sheila, it looks like it may be a scooter paddle (http://www.ssww.com/item/mushroom-scooter-paddles-W10369/) but we will know for sure soon, we are having them write a blog post on this activity with all of the details so we can get back to you to confirm the exact item!
