I gave these to my mom, who is very interested in our Norwegian heritage. They paint their houses in bright colors there to combat some of the depression resulting from living in the dark so much. She painted them to look like Norwegian houses and they look great on her tree!

I got this miniature birdhouse for my husband (he has a collection), and he got a kick out of it having a mother-in-law room in front. There was no assembly required, except for the finishing touches like painting it and putting plant material or a teeny bird on it. I don't think this would weather the Arizona summer heat, so he keeps it inside.
