We ordered these hoops for a dance number in a musical. A portion of each hoop was cut away and the rest painted and wrapped with vines and flowers. They kept their shape and were exactly the right size for teen-aged dancers to hold overhead and step through.

I bought these as party favors for my 10-year old daughter's birthday and they were a HIT! These girls know something about hula hoops, and they liked these. They are good colors and durable, yet still make the "woosh" sound that the girls like in cheaper hoops. I called S&S for some guidance, since they sell different price points for the same size, and the woman was helpful. She told me that this is the "medium" level hoop. My only issue is that I over-ordered. But to return them would cost a FORTUNE because the shipping is calculated on area and of course the box was huge (even though it was thin).

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
