We used this for a Vacation Bible School project over the summer. It was quite messy (esp. for little ones), and our volunteers (teenagers) added WAY too much water, so parents complained when trying to transport it home in their cars. Nonetheless, it was an interesting educational project, and it fit in well with our daily theme. I would suggest keeping a close eye on the water that is added and leaving this in a classroom for awhile if possible.
