I got these for summer camp. When they arrived I was terribly dismayed with the cheapness of the materials. I could not even interest the kids in doing them. They said they were junk.

As the other two reviewers mentioned, the paper supplied is not really adequate for scrapbook purposes. However, I found they make great journals that can be personalized by each individual. Here are two ways I've used them: I bought these for my MOPS group to use as meeting journals. We spent one meeting decorating and assembling our journals as part of our craft time. We then used them at each meeting afterward to record speaker notes, reflect on the meeting, prayer lists, etc. The mom's loved having a small momento at the end of the year to remember our group. I had leftover supplies and have used them to create journals with my children for use in our homeschool curriculum. They loved being able to decorate thier journal the way they wanted and each day they record (either by writing a couple of sentences or drawing a picture) the day's activities, how they were feeling, the weather or anything they want remember the day.

Nice thought, but needs longer and stronger paper inside. Sheets are very thin and not long enough. They need to be same size as book. Also, maybe by tying book together or coming up with a way to put together other than paper fasteners--book wants to come apart if more than 3 or 4 pages are in it.
