These are coarse and stiff, easy to hold and great for preschoolers painting large areas. Do not use for any kind of detail work. Clean promptly - the bristles appear to be natural and if paint begins to dry in the bristles it is very difficult to remove.

I bought this brush pack for a class project. The kids needed to be able to cover a large area with watercolor, and these brushes worked well for that purpose. They were a good value for the money compared to what I was able to find elsewhere. I really didn't want to have to spend a lot, since the kids were just using them to "fill in" paintings, not do detail work. A few cons: The bristles stained after the first use (though the paint came out easily) and one or two of the metal parts came off out of the pack of 30. (I just stuck them back on). I bought this particular set because it was described as coming in a "storage container"; but it is pretty flimsy plastic and hard to fit all the brushes back into. I found I needed to store them in something a bit more sturdy.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
