I use this for strecthing or sit -ups etc. My 3 yr. old grandson likes to play on it too. My 6 month old likes to practice sitting and crawling and it protects him when he topples over. Thicker than I expected, more comfortable, not quite as wide as I thought but wide enough and folds in half to store but not creased seams.

I found these mats to be a real disappointment. Though the 2" foam is think it provides very little cushioning. Your body parts sink into the foam and hit the hard floor underneath. I cannot think of any use for them in a Group Exercise setting.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
