P.E. Central Lesson Plan: Underhand Volleyball Serving Skills
Purpose of Activity:
To assess the skill over the underhand volleyball serve.
Suggested Grade Level:
6-12
Materials Needed:
Volleyball Rubric; volleyballs; nets; volleyball court;
Time Needed to Complete:
10 minutes;
Lesson Plan:
Description of Idea Students will perform 5 underhand serves for this assessment. This can be done at a station while the other students practice the underhand serve in other parts of the activity area. The students will be assessed using the rubric below. I post this rubric on the bulletin board about 3 days before I begin assessing the students. This way, they can view the criteria and practice before the assessment.
