P.E. Central Lesson Plan: High-five Foam Hand Tag
Suggested Grade Level:2-5
Materials Needed:Foam high-five hands/paddles; foam frisbees for taggers
Lesson Plan:Description of Idea
Taggers (I use 4 for a class of 25) carry foam frisbees and high-fivers (x2-4) carry high-five foam hands. If someone gets tagged he/she puts one hand down on the floor and the other hand in the air. The tagged person is free to run when a "high-fiver" foam hand comes by and gives the extended hand a high-five with the foam hand. If the high-fiver gets tagged he/she puts one hand down on the floor and extends the hand with the foam hand and when someone gives that tagged person a high-five on the foam hand the person who freed the tagged person gets the hand and now becomes a "high-fiver". Choose new taggers periodically.
