I'm a PE teacher. We have scooters. We use them outside on a cement basketball court. I was so excited to use the poles the first time, however, when i dug the scooters out of storage and tried the poles out, they only slipped right out from under me. There was absolutely no traction or gripping. They are totally useless. I'll have to find a way to add my own grips onto the ends. :(
