For a firmer ice cream texture, use the included traditional manual crank after removing the motorized crank and hand churn the old-fashioned way for a thick, creamy consistency. The old-fashioned pine wood bucket holds ice and rock salt, keeping the canister at the optimal 10°F temperature.
