I have purchased these at a different retailer for roughly the same price. I chose to purchase from S&S for convenience as I was already making a purchase. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the color variety in the UV beads when they changed colors. They ranged from pink to purple. That's it! No yellow, green, orange, blue. Not impressed at all. This was not specified in the description.

We used the beads as part of a camp craft. The colors were based more in the purple and pink rather than blues and greens. Boys complained some about the colors.

These beads are great! They look plain then change colors as soon as the sunlight hits them. Then they turn back to plain when taken out of the light. We use pony beads for almost everything in our camp. These are so unique that we'll use them as immediate recognition for campers who are observed to be exhibiting good behavior. After receiving my initial order, I ordered more because I believe the kids will be trying to earn as many as they can get.

We used these beads as a lesson on the importance of sunscreen- students put sunscreen on half of the beads and went outside to see how it affected the change in colors. By the end of the summer, the kids were still talking about the beads!
