Lovely to work with. Takes paint easily and sands nicely. One drawback, sometimes after painting the lid doesn't stay completely closed so it's sometimes necessary to add a clasp. Also it's not very deep and lid and base are exactly the same so you forget which is the top and which is the bottom.

I use it for quilling designs on the top and sides. Can be for small projects or very ornate projects. Quality of wood is exceptional and looks very expensive for great price.
