I have used parachutes in kids' VBS programs and overseas in orphanages and other children's ministries. The kids' eyes grow wide, and they always laugh! You can download parachute games from the Internet or create your own. Just be sure to limit the number of participants to the number of handles around the edge. Fifty pairs of hands could pull a parachute apart!

I bought this parachute for a kid's camp I work- It's wonderful for playing with in the shade when the kids get hot! We stand in the shade and play all kinds of games with the parachute and the kids love it! It's held up great with all the kids' pulling on it, and doing things they shouldn't. It has a bunch of handles that are perfect- if I have a smaller group kids can hold two handles and there aren't real gaps. It's done me well this summer :) Oh- and I love the little purple bag it comes with for storing it- I just have to take the time to fold it up before I put it in!

The kids love it. It's a nice break from the normal routine. It could just be me, but I have trouble getting the parachute back in the bag it came in. Other than finding a new bag to store it in, I've had no issues at this point.
