This product ties in with simple Native American Toys. Students can design both outside covers of the humming toy to represent a Native American theme. Other designs could be based on Visual Art studies or made to connect with simple seasonal or religious themes. Students will be challenged to learn how to operate the toy at first. When the toy operates correctly, a rewarding humming sound can be heard. As the operators hands flow in and out to control the twisting strings, this causes the decorated wheel to spin. This was a cheap, awesome toy to create and the design themes are endless!

I have used this kit many times. This is a great item to use to teach children how to make their own toys. After repeated uses the holes will tear through but youth can easily make another spinning toy. It does take some patience to learn to use the toy.

This product need some reinforcment in the centre holes as they tear out easily when you try to get it to hum. Over all it was difficult for the kids to get this craft to work without destroying it.
