When I put these beads into a pattern on a pegboard, I often found that most of the colors seemed to be too thick and the beads would push each other up off the board making it difficult to iron them. This would result in some of the beads turning sideways or on a diagonal while ironing. However, the colors are great and these beads work very well for smaller shapes, just not large ones.

My summer program students look forward to making fuse bead projects every year. I have found it best to purchase lots of the peg boards and to buy single color bags of fuse beads instead of buying the buckets with multiple colors. Most children have particular colors in mind when they make a project and having colors of bead mixed can be frustrating. This project often takes students multiple sessions to complete and requires students to use fine motor control and patience. They are very pleased with the final product! I have found that providing tweezers for some children helps them pick up and place the beads. Great project!

Our kids love to work with the fuse beads and all are entertained. Wish we could get black and brown colors for animal patterns. We also are having trouble with using our old patterns with new fuse beads. They have gotten a tiny bit bigger and now our old patterns don't work.

I work at a day care center the children love to do fuse beads. I have worked here for years and the beads are always being used at one time during almost every day.
