As an elementary ed health teacher, I find that children 'get it' with these colorful posters. To encourage good nutrition practices, I hang a few of these posters around the classroom, review the meaning of each colorful stripe on the pyramid, then pass out paper plates and crayons to allow the children to 'illustrate' a healthy meal. They come up with breakfasts, lunches and dinners that are good (and healthy) enough to eat!

I attached velcro to this product and made small serving items with velcro for them to stick on as they consumed food throughout the day. At the end of the day we can see where we have strong eating habits and where we need additional nutrition.
