ONLY THE TAPE IS POOR QUALITY! So just use you own - clear, not frosted! I actually have been using these kaleidoscopes for parties and camp for over twenty years!!! They've changed the tubes from matte to gloss and back to matte which is more workable in more mediums such as paint, marker and decoupage. Wise to seal washable marker with overglaze so it doesn't smudge. Great project - comes with questions/ lesson plans and some info for presentation! You can add your own beads or thin colorful objects for more variety! Still enjoy the kids' reactions when they've completed the project!
