The kaleidoscope is easy and fun to make at Vacation Bible School. I can do a little prep work, as the age child requires. (I always pre-fold the silver insert and tape it to save class time.) VBS stickers, markers, and crayons are perfect for decorating. I add colored plastic tape to further secure the ends and where pieces fit together. I can almost always find a way to connect it to a VBS story theme of changing or turning around in our lives, as seen in so many Bible stories.

This was used for an arts and crafts class for children ages 5-10. They all enjoyed making the Kaleidoscopes and decoratine the outside. The adults folded the foil insert to make sure they fit appropriately. Favorite project of all the classes.

I was a bit worried about the quilty of this product before I bought it but decided to take a chance. I was very happy with the end resault except for one thing. Part of the needed peices were missing so instead of having enough to make 25 we could only make 21. I don't know if this was just a one time thing or if anyone else ran into this problem. Otherwise I was very happy with this product. I work with ages 12-17 and they enjoyed making the kaleidoscopes. The instructions were easy to understand and the abilty to personalize was great.

Nice project for kids - they needed help taping pieces together, but it afforded them an open-ended decoration project which worked well for small groups coming in and out.
