I put this sand in a sand table for my 20 month old daughter. I also purchased Melissa and Doug sand toys. My daughter loves to roll out the sand and cut out shapes. She also loves to have her hands burried in the sand. The sand works great for these activities. I wasn't sure if she'd keep the sand in the sand table (because it is expensive to waste), but she has done great!

In working with traumatized children I have found sandplay extremely helpful. The tactile nature of this sand helps relax and focus them. The possibilities for creativity, expression and healilng are endless as they craft and mold their Deltasand micro worlds. Even children who are shy or withdrawn, and resisting other activities, can't resist sticking their fingers into the sand.
