The masks did not look like the picture at all. No hats, no collars and the faces were all different shapes.

I used these clown masks during our "Summer Circus" program, along w/ another activity. The children were allowed to select which one they wanted to make, and most picked the other activity. I think it's true that clown scare some children. The other problem was that the paper used for the masks is very flimsy. It's not a heavy grade card stock. If you plan to use them as masks - be careful. If you just plan to have the kids decorate them and mount them - then you'll be fine.
