We use these brushes to apply glue or Mod Podge, and sometimes for painting. They are not good for detail work and not fluffy enough for watercolor. This assortment comes with a good variety of different sizes. Bristles are sturdy and can stand up to tough handling. The metal sleeve that attaches the bristles to the wooden handle is very sturdy - it is not a thin sheet of metal wrapped around the handle, but rather one whole tube. (Cannot easily be detached and turned into razor blade - important for our inpatient psych setting!)

These brushes are advertised as shed-proof and they have stood up to some serious abuse by my elementary students. They are not meant for fine details and I would love to see one size smaller added to the set, but as general purpose brushes they are great!
