These are exactly what I have been looking for. They are another prop that has a million and one uses on our ropes course. These seem to be pretty durable. Time will tell as there are few things that get more use...and abuse...around here.

I like the durability of closed cell foam--the more foam we can keep out of the landfills and breaking down in heat and chlorine to contaminate pool water and air, the better. But these noodles are too wide in diameter for the thumbs of seniors and the hands of children. The added width of nearly a half inch also adds buoyancy without the resistance of a heavier noodle and makes the noodle almost dangerously floppy for elderly, overweight or deconditioned exercisers. The surface is also is very slick and very prone to puncture by fingernails and fingers. I have observed two older exercisers flipped over by these noodles.
