My seniors enjoyed this project a lot. I have a few who can not see very well and this worked well for them as they could simply feel the project. My only complaint is that the frame is white plastic and we're suppose to paint it brown. Just make the plastic brown, because paint chips off of plastic super easy.

Made these this week for cub scout day camp. The kids loved them! We spray painted them a few days before, but the paint flecked off as they were woven- this added to the ancient look and the kids were thrilled!

This was a great way to incorporate a basket craft into our VBS. Plenty of supplies provided with the kit. I would just suggest that S&S make the basket forms out of brown plastic as the paint provided chips off while weaving.

Bought for Girl Scout Day camp. Was ok - we cut the string too short. Did not spray or paint first - there was no way to do this easily with 100 of them. We decided to use permanent markers after we were done to color the plastic. Some girls just used yarn - so they didn't turn out as cute as the pictures. Probably would not do this craft again. The girls liked the weaving on the craft - I just didn't think they turned out as well as they could have. Too much prep work on them.

Used at Cub Scout Day Camp, 6yr olds to 8yr olds made these. They were easy for the kids to start and finish. We didn't paint them, as we didn't have time, instead used sharpies, still looked really nice. SO much easier than reed type baskets!! Would do these again.
