Simple Sunday School Craft

Crafts are a great way to teach the meaning of religion at your Sunday School. Children can learn about the Bible while having fun making a Christian craft. This simple and affordable activity is great for all ages. Each child can create their own design, and share their spiritual connection with Jesus as it relates to their artwork.

Each child can decorate their own Foam Hand. You can come up with a theme, like something they learned from their last Bible Lesson. Or you can ask them how they feel about Jesus in just a few short words.

Instructions:

Use a marker to write out the words. We chose black and blue markers. Then decide where you want the glitter. We used blue glitter for Jesus’ name. Trace the letters with glue, and then pour the glitter over the glue. We used gold glitter for the #1. For added effect, we decorated the nails of the foam hand with colorful glitter. The last touch was the yellow outline, so it looks like it has a spiritual glow to it.

This was such a fun and easy craft with very few materials needed, and it took under 15 minutes. While the children are creating their design, have everyone share their thoughts on why they chose their design and what it means to them. A discussion will help instill the message to the group.
